MABJ Spring Reception Success!

AND THAT’S A WRAP!

Huge shoutout to everyone who came out to the Spring Reception, we couldn’t have done it without you.

We raised nearly $1,000 dollars. That money will help build scholarships for students pursuing careers in media!

THANK YOU!

We would also like to thank our sponsors again:

Kroger, McCullough Law, Nehemiah, Caprice & Terry Morgan, Black Thought, and the Tri-State Defender.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the photos from the event.

Success: NABJ Region III Conference

This year’s Region III Conference, in Dallas, TX, was a success! So much so, the conference sold out. NABJ Members from across the region were able connect with like-minded journalists to discuss the changes and challenges in our profession.

Sessions included discussions on topics like “The Rise of Fake News” (moderated by our own president, Siobhan Riley), “The Power of Persuasion, Negotiation and Strategy,” and student workshops.

Members of the Memphis Association of Black Journalists were also able to attend.

Next stop, New Orleans!
